Lyle's Laws was an excellant read of short personal stories. They were very educational, and fun to read.It was if Lyle was standing right there telling me the stories.There was a lot to think about long after you turned the last page.I am sure I will refer back to this book from time to time.

Brilliant, no nonsense and entertaining

This is the ultimate book about stone rows. It gives an enormous number of facts about them. A no-nonsense scientific hypothesis is given as to what purpose these rows were made and into what categories they can be divided. But it has been written in a very entertaining way, lots of legends are mentioned as well.

The bible for designing CCD cameras

I looked far and wide but could not find a more comprehensive text on CCDs; with both theory and application. The other option is poring over datasheets, googling around, and still being unsure of the accuracy of the information. CCD camera design is an art more than a technique, and this book will hopefully get you started thinking in the right direction.
