Krider vs. Mackie, the final battle.

I have read Scott Nicholson After series. I really like this series, spinoff?. It shows how different people react to such a strange situation. It isn't a rehash, same old thing but a refreshing twist here. This time the results are different. I like seeing how people react to the same situation. Now on to Radiophodia, the third book in S.N. Next series.

You lost me

This series lost me with the third and final book. It started out missing the character Dean with no explanation of what happened to him. Then when the mutant baby appeared, all was lost f or me. I had hope for a good final read after the first two. I was disappointed.

Quick Read Filled With Unnecessary Commentary

This book is a good starting point for anyone confused or uneducated regarding President Obama's politics and policies. However, the writing style of the authors really bothered me. Though I agree with everything written, I don't need the author constantly telling me that Obama is a socialist, communist, community organizer, liar, etc, etc. Such interpolations are so prevalent in the book, that it serves to discredit the authors and reduce them to water carriers for the Republican Party, much like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. Because of this, it made reading the book seem like listening to Sarah Palin for a couple hours straight listing off as many Fox News talking points as possible. The facts presented in the book are fantastic, as well are the direct quotes taken from President Obama. These are the redeeming factors of this book, and prove very damning for the President, indeed. Everything in between is unnecessary and annoying, and had me skimming quickly to get to the point trying to be made.

The Puppy and the Prince

Ok. This tale is cute & adorable. This story is cute in so many different ways, not the least of which being the adorable puppy who is a character all on his own. The human characters weren’t half bad either. Xander was priceless, walking a fine line between authoritative and attentive, secretive and mysterious. Kate’s frank openness drew me in in the complete opposite manner. I enjoy how they got to know each other over such a cute puppy. The fairy tale romance surrounding Xander & Kate just keeps growing. I love how they fit together so perfectly as individuals despite the differences in their lives. I love the mix of heat & sweetness that Steele works into this novel.

At the same time, the uniqueness of the entire tale that kept me intrigued. The intrigue and mystery surrounding parts of the tale took me for a loop, adding a plot twist that I loved. I’ll admit, there was one moment where I turned to my dog and was like: ‘Wait! What? That’s not what’s supposed to happen!’ I was so convinced I had it all figured out and our resident piece of puppy cuteness would fix everything for these characters. The plot twists were spot on for a little adventure in this steamy story.

This was an intricately plotted, well written tale and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

I was hooked from page one and only put it down when I had to.

First, I do not give spoilers. I normally don't read books that are of this nature, however, this one included a puppy as one of the main characters. I have a service dog, Shadow. So I decided to give it a chance. I'm probably going soft as I get older. Lol
Anyway, I absolutely loved the first book. So I got the set. I loved the excitement, the intriguing twists of the plot. Of course I fell in love with the puppy in the beginning. The author was very descriptive and knowledgeable about dogs, and Used great wording. I loved it. I can only hope she writes more in this series.

These stories not only contain hot romance, but a cute and cuddly puppy that will make you laugh. Can you imagine a handsome prince falling in love with you so much, he is willing to give up his thrown for you. A great series in a set so you don't have to wait to read the next book. Loved this series.

Purportedly an alarming account of the "commoditization of natural resources and of life itself," this volume is actually something tamer—a comprehensive guide to the world’s major commodities, from diamonds and human beings to the skies and oceans. Ridgeway, a staff writer for the Village Voice, professes horror that a small number of corporations would ever seek to form cartels and exploit the fundamental necessities of life (even though he notes in his introduction and elsewhere that this has always been the case) and observes that things are getting worse. Maybe. It is disturbing to read that, after World War I, America and Britain created a joint venture known as the Iraq Petroleum Company and that "with modernized industry Iraq could produce quantities of oil sufficient to rival Saudi Arabia." Still, Ridgeway doesn’t balance his accounts of cartels and exploitation with an examination of the economic forces that drive commoditization, the advantages of economic development for developing countries or the process of economic evolution. Worse, Ridgeway discusses only problems, not solutions. The book is organized commodity by commodity. Ridgeway gives a brief, and sometimes fascinating, description of the usefulness and history of each substance, its exploitation by the few and its inevitable depletion. But he stops short of suggesting any wise or fair methods of allocating resources, and this omission seems to suggest that corrupt markets are inevitable. Perhaps Ridgeway’s largest failing is his tacit suggestion that commoditization is necessarily evil. Things have an economic as well as a spiritual existence, and the recognition of their market value is a useful, and necessary, first step in determining their true price.

I can't believe I'm the first person to review this book?! I think any social entrepreneur/activist would benefit from this summary of how our surroundings, and even our bodies, are being commiditized. The most disturbing statistic in the book for me was how there are more people in slavery today than at any other time in human history?! I think a book like this compliments 'The World is Flat' very well. There is a dark underbelly to globalization that can be remedied by socially conscious captilism. (...)

Robin Buss is a writer and translator who works for theIndependent on Sunday and as television critic for The Times Educational Supplement. He studied at the University of Paris, where he took a degree and a doctorate in French literature. He is part-author of the article 'French Literature' in Encyclopaedia Britannica and has published critical studies of works by Vigny and Cocteau, and three books on European cinema, The French Through Their Films (1988), Italian Films (1989) and French Film Noir (1994). attempted or committed suicide. I know that it helped me in so many ways.
