Greatest Biblical Resource ever printed

The Complete Biblical Library
Only the New Testament half is being sold here but this review is for both the Old and New Testament sets.
I bought this set soon after it was published (at a far less expensive price than what is offered for it these days) and have learned more about the Scriptures through using it than through any other reference work I have ever come across.
This reference works like this (using the New Testament half as an example): There are several volumes that have every New Testament book/epistle with every word of that epistle in Greek with a number associated with that Greek word, its usage in Greek grammar, and a direct English translation underneath. There are also some very short commentary remarks that follow the epistle. Those remarks are found on the opposite page of the Greek presentation. These volumes also give information about the history of the ancient Greek versions in existence (as they relate to that particular epistle). There are other volumes that make up their Greek-English Dictionary. These are best used when you have a question about a particular word found within one of the epistle volumes. Having the number of that word, you can easily look it up in the Dictionary. That Dictionary not only defines the word but also gives it various uses and will point to the precise use in the epistle you are studying.

A short and simple example:
Acts 6:4 (each Greek word of that sentence is given)
The short commentary for Acts 6:4 says, "Choosing the 7 would enable the 12 apostles to give themselves to prayer and the ministry [ministration; Greek diakonia, the same word used in verse 1 for the daily ministration to the widows] of the Word. The apostles would serve the Word, while the seven served tables."
One word in that sentence is "but":
"1156.2 (dictionary number)
conj (language usage)
de (the Greek word - only better)
de (the English transliteration)
but (English translation)"
1156.2 in the Greek-English Dictionary:
"1156. de de conj

Classical Greek and New Testament Usage

Along with these volumes, there is one volume that explains Greek Grammar. That volume also contains an index.
There is also a single "Harmony" volume in the N.T. Set.
Note: The O.T. half of the set works in the same way as presented above.
As you can see, this set is absolutely invaluable for the Serious Bible student. Since this full set has been out of print for several years, they have become rather expensive. Nevertheless, if you are a Serious Bible student, and you can scrape together the money, it will be well worth it. However, if you are not delving into The Scriptures on a daily or weekly basis, this is probably too intricate (and too expensive) for your use.
This set stopped being printed several years ago, not because of any problem with the information but rather because of a lack of sales. There, apparently, simply were not enough people interested in actually studying the Bible for this work to stay in print.
I give these sets (Old and New Testament volumes) the highest praise I can give a Biblical reference work. This deserves far more than 5 Stars.

Excellent self contained set

I bought this two years ago. It is a great set for introduction to study the Bible scholarly. The editors' philosophy was to provide a self contained set for a layman to study the Bible seriously. It includes Greek-English interlinear, commentary, textual criticism, dictionaries with a unique numbering system, grammar book for Greek.
